Rules

Effective August 30, 2026. Last updated August 30, 2026.

CompanyBid is a public leaderboard. There are no ads, no API keys, and no revenue share. You pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is what you pay — nothing else.

The boards

One payment ranks you on both boards. They just count your spend differently.

  • Top Bid ranks each company by its single highest bid. One whale bid can put a company at #1.
  • Most Backed ranks each company by the sum of every bid ever placed for it. It rewards rallying lots of backers. Neither board expires.

Multiple people can back the same company. Their bids collapse into one row; the row shows the top backer and how many others are behind them (“+2”).

How ranking works

  • Bids are whole US dollars, $1 minimum, $1 at a time. A rank already on the board keeps its amount until it is raised or outranked.
  • Taking #1 on Top Bid costs at least $1 more than the current #1’s single highest bid. Paying less still puts you on the board at whatever rank that amount can take.
  • Equal amounts stay in the order they were placed — the older listing keeps the higher rank.
  • Already listed? Enter the same URL or @handle again and bid higher than that company’s current top bid. Every payment is charged in full and added to your Most Backed score; your single highest bid sets your Top Bid rank. Someone can’t take your rank just by matching it.
  • App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different apps don’t share a rank. Tracking query strings are ignored.

What you can list

  • A product website, or an X @handle.
  • Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
  • Links to sexual content are not allowed. If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong on the board.
  • Query parameters are stripped from listing links. Affiliate, referral, and tracking URLs will not work.
  • Link shortener URLs are not allowed. If you submit one, it is replaced by the URL it redirects to.

Categories

You choose a category at checkout. If your listing ends up in the wrong one, email ddotdev@outlook.com to have it changed.

After you pay

  • Your listing is public. Clicks go to the URL or profile you submitted, without query parameters, and each champion gets a shareable page.
  • A completed payment is what claims the rank. Payments are not refundable.
  • Paying means you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, including the requirement that listed projects show valid company details.
